AIU MSC Wins Math Science Partnership Grant for the Region

Participants explore shapes and volume

This is the first professional development that I attended where I see definite change in teacher's actions.  The teachers that were at the summer PD are now using more hands on materials, conducting number talk sessions and having students share out their findings.  They are geared more toward student discovery and trying to get the students to own the learning. The experience I had doing the investigations opened my eyes and tied everything together.
